Got a call from this number Aug 21, 2013. I couldn't remember what it was about until I read the other complaints. I remember it was a man wanting to install security system in return for advertising. I said no and take me off your list. So far so good.
Must agree with "MK" who posted a couple times previously. In my opinion, when Verizon installs a new phone package, they sell the number. When my Pennsylvania number was activated, the calls began immediately, and I mean within 5 minutes. 20 to 25 calls the first day !! My intention was to personalize my phone number after beginning service, and I changed the number the same week. The first call I made with my new number was to the "do not call registry", of course. It has always been effective in the past, except for fake charity and political calls. The second wave of junk calls in response to my "new" new number from Verizon ended in about a month. 610 200 0379 and 814 201 0317 show on my caller ID as a "V" with many numbers after. Sure not running to answer THAT and let the robot know I exist ! Just block the number and let them waste the money they paid Verizon for your info.
