(610) 200-0317 - called today - claim they are from the PA state police looking for donations ... They call me 2-3 times a year - usually from a 717 area code ... The very first time they called I was suspect - he asked for my address so he could "mail" me a donation card - I refused & said he should have it - he then said he needed to trans me to someone who does have the info & I would have to just verify it "just don't hang up" ... It's always a recording ... If you start speaking the recd will stop - wait a moment & then cont with the recd ... One time a man interrupted the recd as I was flipping out & he starte yelling back ... Sounds like a scam to me.
I received a call from this number a little after 8PMwith my caller ID showing only "Unbound" and I didn't answer the call and of course no voice message was left. I personally know that the PA State Police, nor their union, DO NOT solicit money. If they are representing themselves as calling for the PA State Police, this is a scam and should be reported to the state attorney general's office. This has been an ongoing problem for years.
