Just a heads up. The people at Sovereign Bank who are customer service are the most inept, ill informed company representitives that I have every delt with my entire life. If they call you again, do yourself a favor and demand that all contact be made by mail.

This is Sovereign Bank. They called this morning and when my wife picked up they asked for me. When I got on the phone they hung up on me. I just unblocked this number. I had it blocked for weeks because of this and now it starts again. There are a bunch of incompetents that work in this department. Not all of them but most of them. I have filed a complaint with the State Banking Department and I was told that this is a foreign bank so they have no authority over it. I guess I'll just have to will block the number again.

I received an aggressive call from this number asking for personal information so they could talk to me about problems with my Line of Credit.  Very suspicious. 1) I don't have problems with my LOC, and 2) when I called Santander Bank they did not recognize tho number and said it was fraudulent.

If you answer tell them to send an email through your bank account.

This is most definitely Santander (Sovereign) bank.  RUN don't walk from this bankster group.  They are THE worst mortgage company we have ever had.  They will harass you several times a day, including Saturdays on the phone.  Some will leave messages, some will just hang up.  They begin calling the second of the month looking for the mortgage payment that you have until the 15/16th to pay.  They also put it on your credit report if you don't pay by the first - it's not marked as 'late payment', but it has shown several times on our credit reports at the bottom with the actual date of payment!

The people who call to find out when you're going to pay your monthly statement are extremely rude.  Do these people have stock in the company place or what?!  They don't like hearing you'll pay by the 'grace period', and insist you should pay on the first.  We've even been asked by a few there how we manage to pay our other bills, buy groceries, have a cell phone - all because we didn't get the mortgage payment in before the 16th.

We don't bother answering their calls anymore, and once in a while they'll send a letter to us telling us we've not been returning their calls!  lol   I guess a job is a job.  Too bad they don't have better ethics, and better caliber of employees.  They sure do like legally harassing people & it's kinda scary and sad.

Don't even try for a loan mod.  We've tried this three times based on very little income to having half the amount of the salary the mortgage was based on 5 years ago & all three times we got rejected.  The first two times we had everything in they wanted & on time - we were rejected on the fact that 'not everything was filled out properly' & 'it wasn't in on time'.  When we challenged our single-point-of-contact - he said everything WAS filled out properly & was in on time.  But he said he didn't know what to do, and said for us to just start over!!!!     When we calmed down, we did it again (about 6 months later) & this time we were rejected because we were not behind on our payments!!!!    What a freaking joke!!!!

This is Santander/Sovereign Bank calling because you owe them money.  Doesn't matter how long you have been a customer.  I put money in on the 1st of the month every month for 4 years, I guess they cannot recognize patterns.  Very annoying.  I don't even pick up when I know I am overdrafted.
