It's a bunch of crap. I got a call too. Its definitely a scam. When I asked the guy to give me the name and number of the creditor so I could call them myself, he changed his tone and got even more threatening. I asked him why on Earth anyone would just send them money to avoid "swift legal action" without verifying the information first? He didn't like that too much. You can't be arrested for not paying a debt, and if someone was going to try to get a judgement against you to in court, they wouldn't & couldn't threaten you with it first, they would just do it, Total crap! Ignore it.
My friend received a call from this number and they said she was being investigated and could be arrested just because she knows me. I just reported him to my local authorities ans now THEY'RE being investigated.
