The Caller ID stated this number as being one from Coatesville, PA which is west of Philadelphia between Lancaster and West Chester. I did not answer the call since I did not recognize the number. They hung up after the answering machine picked up. I'm sure these morons are using something to spoof where they're calling from.
Agreed. they just called here. I only answered 'cause I had a feeling it would be some scam and I thought I might like to play gullible for them....but then changed my mind. He said he was with some power company and could lower my bills. I said "I'm not interested. Good-bye!" and hung up before he had a chance to say another word. Guess I wasn't all that much in the mood after all! lol

Caller ID Coatesville, PA
Called 4/16/2015 @ 5:39pm (est). Did not answer and caller did not leave message...so far only one call from this obvious (by the other postings) scammer.
Just be aware, K, that while this type of call may have been a telemarketer, it doesn't mean it wasn't legit. Many small energy companies have been soliciting through both mailings & call s to try to earn our business; they often offer rates that may be lower than your current electric company. We're signed up with one now that is saving us money over what we'd be paying with PECO. Howevermake , before you give any financial info over the phone, you should research them online to make sure they're legit. Some examples of these companies are Direct Energy & ConEd Solutions, among others.
Completely rude people who are incessant! I have been getting calls from them since last year. I have asked them to take me off their list and they have all said "Why". This call center needs to be shut down.
