It's an energy company trying to get you to switch. They offer a lower rate, but the transmission still belongs to Met-Ed or Constallation, etc. So you're really saving 1.1 cent per KW hour. Which, for the average home, equates to about 10 bucks a month. By the time you switch and go through all the work to switch, you're better off staying with the big companies becuase if you have a problem, they'll be out right away, while the other little guys don't have the reach.
