Yesterday they call asking for me. Since I did not answered they called other relatives and my job asking for me. The same exact message. I did not answer my cell phone because on the caller ID it read Scam listing. On other caller Id's it read Mirza A.
Seems to be some kind of collections agency. They called my call and work numbers, simultaneoulsy, and left the same automated voice message. Nothing specific, no idea who they are or what they want... but it sure sounded like an attempt to be scary. What they are are illegal debt collection scammers... and I know this because I am debt free, legally. I had a bankruptcy 4 years ago (extreme medical bills after a catastrophic accident that insurance only covered a portion of) that discharged everything... but every once in a while, some scumbag agency buys a portfolio of old debts and I'm still on a few of those lists. THey all know they aren't allowed to attempt to collect. Yet, they persist. On my work line, the caller ID said 'A MIRZA' - but we all know that might not mean anything these days. I suspect this may be IC System, a well known Minnestoa debt collector, but can't say for sure.
The message was as follows:
