Received a call at 6:30 am, on a Saturday. Didn't answer. An automated voice message was left saying they were the department of internal revenue and to call them immediately regarding a claim. IRS doesn't call people. They send a letter and then a personal representative to your door. It's totally bogus.

My mother received a call and voice message three times this week. Every time it was before 7am. It was automated message to call the department of internal revenue sevice regarding a claim against "the number called". No specific name was left, so who in the household is this claim against? Besides, the news issued a warning of these types of calls and that the IRS never calls people. They always send a letter.
