I got a call from Meyer and Associates on behalf of the Barak Obama campaign. I know that they do a lot of campaign and nonprofit fundraising calls, usually local, I think. This experience was okay. But I've had very pushy, unprofessional calls from them in the past.

This is a very unprofessional organization with incredibly rude callers. Tey can be reached at 1-800-676-9233. Call them and tell them to remove your name and call them often.
Our office has received 2-3 calls a day from this number for the past 3-4 weeks. Every time I answer the phone and every time they hang up. It may be an automated calling system. I called them back today. The recording said they were Meyer & Associates, and the message was similar to what Mpls wrote. In the msg however they said to hold to be removed from their call list. I spoke with a rep who said it would take up to 30 days for the removal from the list to take effect, but could be as soon as 24 hrs. If they're still calling after 30 days I'm going to report them to the FTC. Someone posted on whocalled.us the following: "Meyer Teleservices Associates is a political survey company with abusive telephone tactics. Company just keeps calling until the calls drive you almost crazy. Meyer is based in MN and uses multiple local and regional telephone numbers to automatically dial your number, repeatedly, until you answer or call them back. Companies like this should be outlawed. Call your Congressional reps and ask them to remove all exemptions from the Do Not Call law. Until this loophole is removed, the telephone spammers will continue unabated.
