Unfortunately, we did not see the other posts about Michael Judd using the number 417-456-7890 before being scammed. Our experience on the phone was very similar to what others reported - said he used to go to the church 42 yrs ago, wants to talk to a male Elder or Deacon, etc., etc. We thought it was odd that he wouldn't talk to a pastor, but we did ask one of our Elders to give him a call just to see what it was about. Unfortunately, the Elder sent him a small amount of money through Western Union without running it by the church staff first, which is what prompted me to see if I could find anything on this guy and coming across. He called us from 612-443-3312, but called us from the 417 number a couple of months back. We've filed a complaint with our state's attorney general and have notified our Presbytery and local congregations to get the word out about this scammer because it's obvious he's targeting churches.
