Multiple calls from United Healthcare when answered there is no one on the line. Today there was a person. she needed to speak with my husband about his recent enrollment. No, I couldn't confirm the information. I said he had received his new card the previous day. Still said she had to speak with him. Took the phone to him in his business office which is in our home. He was working. Purpose of the call was to confirm our address because he would receive his card. Well, duh! I told her that the card had been received. She needed to confirm his year of birth and line by line the home address. He also told her that he had the card in from of him and that it was correct. She went on about how he would be receiving the card soon. Again, duh! She then said that he would be receiving more calls about a health assessment and medications. Turning 65 doesn't mean that a person is no longer capable of making decisions in their life. The new card was received and the information was correct. If it hadn't been correct we were intelligent enough to follow directions to correct it.
This may be a legitimate call. However, the person wanted to verify all my personal information. I did not give anything out and told them that since I just called and talked with United Health yesterday and everything was taken care of there was no need to repeat. Been getting so many spoofed, scam, political and prank calls lately that I'm afraid to tell anybody anything over the phone.
Caller identified self on voicemail as United Healthcare, left message that they're sorry they couldn't reach me and were calling to welcome me to my new medical insurance plane. Left callback # 866-358-8293. This IS legitimate, as we just submitted applications for coverage to be effective 1/1. Called to number provided in application. Hail hail (or is it hell hell) Obamacare.
