Several calls per day from this number. Occasionally, someone will actually ask for a person and when that happens, it seems like a sales call. More often than not, it is a hang up.
Calls 10+ times per day. Always a hang-up. Dialed it back and got a recorded message claiming to be a contact center for a publication (didn't mention which) and was told I could leave a recorded message with phone numbers I want removed from their lists. The mail box was full and not receiving new messages.
Registerd my number on the National Do Not Call Registry https://www.donotcall.gov.
I picked up right after the second ring. After a brief delay, the voice said, "Hello. I'm calling from the Daily News. We're starting free delivery of the paper in your neighborhood this Saturday. Is your address 555 Broad Street?"
I said, "I don't give out my address to people who just call me up. Did you say this was The Daily News?"
He quickly said, "I'm sorry. I'm having trouble hearing you," and hung up.
