SCAM.... Idiot with THICK Indian accent calls me Monday morning and says that there is a case filed against me, and asks me if the RCMP has contacted me yet?! Immediately, I told him that he is a scammer and he should go [***] himself. Then I hung up. The number appearing on the call display belongs to Ottawa Police, so they are technologically advanced.
Do not be shy to tell these people where to go. The real authorities will never call you on the phone, as all legal matters in Canada need to be documented in WRITING!
The call from this number said they are from CIC and deporting back to your country or pay up to 45,000 as penalty; this is a SCAM call, don't waste your time talking to them just hang up
