The voice sounds like it has been electronically modified ..like a cyborg ..
its so fake first he threatens you with being arrested then at the end says may god bless ..
thats Blasphemy in the least ...my advise to the masses here is to call collect and keep him talking as long as possible
stringing him along playing into the scam ..I love doing that ..its so funny in the end they realize they have been played for the fools they are and get so mad ha ha the last laugh is on them ...
Same scam as last fall. "Officer David Marshall" as if...I hung up. Apparently Officer David Marshall is a real over achiever making calls for the IRS and the CRA - if you google that name the IRS scam comes up. I have to wonder why these schmucks can't come up with another name.
Got a call earlier today from 613-366-5062, that one left a message in English so heavily accented I could only make out that me or my lawyer needed to call back or they'd do something - couldn't understand a word of the threat though the accent was so heavy - not criminal masterminds this bunch.
A message was left on my phone from this "David Marshall" claiming to be from "The Canadian Revenue Agency" and stating that a law suit had been filed againts me and that I should promptley contact him or an arrest warrent would be issued. I have never recieved any documentation from Revenue Canada about any problems with my income tax files. Any information I have recieved indicates that everything is correct. I recieved a simmilar call back in the fall and when I pressed them about having never recieved any documentation about any audits or problems they eventually hungup on me. My daughter did a web search and found that the number orriginated in British Columbia and it was being listed as a fraudulent call and scam.
Ditto. Just received a call and let it go to voicemail before blocking it. He never addresses the recipient by name, first clue. Very threatening, though.
