This scam has been ongoing for years in the USA, and has spread to Canada.
Using VoIP and caller ID spoofing, scammers from India and Pakistan are calling citizens claiming to be from your country's revenue agency, the IRS for the USA and the CRA for Canada, demanding money for supposed taxes.
IT IS A SCAM!

Got a call asking me to call 613 518 1340 or they would proceed with legal action against me .I know I done nothing wrong so I think it is a scam ...iI get a barrage of East Indian calls to clean pipes and for doors and windows.
Received a call from this number saying " legal action proceeding is filed under my name". Who is this scammer and how did they manage to get my number....
