I don't give out my cell number. Just days ago I signed up for something to do with Facebook developers and they asked for the cell number for confirmation codes. Makes me wonder.
Giving out your personal info to Facebook is an open invitation to be spammed for the rest of your life.
Giving out your personal info to any "Facebook", "Google", or any other name brand online service for Tools, Sales Software, or Make More Money and you have basically given you info to criminals and scammers who profit from selling your info to other criminals and scammers.
You may want to consider getting your number changed.
