Got a message from this Ottawa number to call Royal Bank at 877-276-3983, purpoortedly in Montreal, about my account. When I called that number (see details under that listing) the woman asked for my clinet card number so I ended the call. Could be 'market development' but I suspect a professional-sounding phishing expedition.
Very strong accent. I could barely understand her. Caller said they were a market research company but I think they were actually phishing to get personal information. Best not to talk to them. They asked questions that were far too personal. The number is in Ottawa.
