New number, but same scam. No reference to my or his name, but claiming a taxation claim will be made if I don't call. Heavy Indian accent and no French language option! I have been getting these calls for 4 weeks. Canada Revenue does not make phone calls.
Another Scam. Heavy east indian accent.Claims that there is a taxation claim against me. They want to CLEAR UP my outstanding taxes owed. Want your full name, date of birth, and social Insurance number (So they can verify that I am the person that the debt belongs to) I asked to have the paper work mailed to my address on file so my accountant could take care of ANY TAXATION ISSUES. He stated that wasn't possible because they had already begun to take legal action against me and the only way to stop legal action was to pay my outstanding taxes NOW, and he needed my name, Social insurance number and date of birth so that they applied the payment to the correct account... oh yeah and to verify I was who i said I was. Refused again and he became very angry and started to threaten me at which time I hung up. police were contacted and so was CRA, Both have stated that this is a scam.
