This time the recorded voice didn’t left a name to be contacted as were in the past calls, however the message is as follows:
‘The reason behind this call is to notify you that we have registered a criminal case against your name concerning a tax evasion and tax fraud in the federal court house. So if you want any further information about this case, please make sure you give us a call back as quick as possible to our direct hotline number to the Canada Revenue Agency Headquarters. That is 613-699-8846, I will please repeat the number, it is 613-699-8846. If we don’t receive a call from your side, please be prepared to face the legal consequences, as the issue of tax is extremely serious and time-sensitive. So have a blessed time’.
These scammers are very polite I must say.
Left a message saying they had a lawsuit against "our name". Didn't even say our names, and it was obviously not a real person talking. If we didn't call back they were going to "get us arrested". Scammers saying they're calling from the tax department of the Canada Revenue Agency.
Received a call from CRA who left msg saying: to call CRA at 613-699-8846 soon or I/we would get arrested..
No names were mentioned as to who was being called or name of who was calling... Did not call back obviously.
I too received a call from an un-named male from 613 699 8846. I was not identified but this male voice claimed to be from Canada Revenue Agency and that if I didn't call back I would be arrested. My young daughter heard the message and was frightened. I am not impressed.
