Same call received here today in Victoria, BC. A man with an Indian-sounding accent claiming to be with the CRA and saying I am under federal investigation. I'm meant to call an Officer Johnathon Knight. Time sensitive! If I don't call back right away, I will have been considered to have made an offense.
Called this number back and got a dufuss who said he was from CRA and that I owed $4,870 and that there was an arrest warrant issued for me. I had been waiting for such a call and played along for about 10 minutes, then finished by telling him that I wished we could conclude the matter on Skype so that he could see my [***] when I tell him to kiss it.
