The guys pretended to be from CRA legal department -officer Steven Johns - and they said that there is an audit on my 2014 tax return. They threaten me to go on court and even being deported if I don't pay.
They ask me to use PayPower Reloaded card to send them cash money, and when I refused they start screaming over the phone and said that a police officer will come to my house. I refused and checked with the CRA directly and about to fill a complain through the RCMP and the local police. What bugs me is that they had all my information with them (address, real name - not the one on the phone book) BEWARE this is a SCAM. Don't give them any financial info. Spread the word.
Just received 3 ( one after the other, insistent!) calls from this number, so I called them back and they claim they are CRA. I have my doubts and believe it to be a fraudulent number. Please be careful!
It's a fraud! I checked with the actual Canada Revenue Agency and they said all is good and we do not owe anything. So just hang up because they charge for every minute spend on the phone.

they called and said the same thing and said the government of Canada is taking me to court ,,,they hardly spoke any English. I called them back they put me on hold for long time,,,,that is how they get their money,,,,
