I received a text message claiming to be BMO updating security on my credit card

Text message noting my CIBC account has been suspended, with a link to follow. No good can come of this.

Got the same text a little while ago and my mom got the same text a few minutes after mine but from a different number (1-647-643-0386) and I don't have a account with CIBC, my mom does have a card with them

Never respond to text messages from numbers you don't know.  This is often a scam.  Call the number on your card if you think there is a problem.  In fact, legitimate texts or emails from banks will include the instructions:  Call the number on your card or visit our website.
