My phone has the same system but I realise that these scammers constantly change their numbers slightly so I delete older ones and then add new ones so I keep below the 20 limit. It helps a bit - and at least I feel I am doing something!
got a call from this number around 3pm today. I didn't answer the phone because I didn't recognize the number. They didn't leave a message. No call lists are totally useless. I blame Bell Canada for my being bothered by all these telephone calls from scammers. I once asked to have my telephone number removed from the phone book, and I was told I could not do that unless I paid to have an unlisted phone number. If we were not forced to have our numbers printed in a phone book, this probably wouldn't be happening. I believe these people just randomly go through names in the phone books.
I called the number back using my MagicJack, and it's the Conservative Party of Canada, 100% for sure!
Here's a tip for all of you. Buy yourself one of those Panasonic Cordless phones with two, three, or four handsets, and use it to block these numbers. I have one, and when I block a number, it just picks up the line on the first ring, and immediately hangs up. I LOVE IT!!!!
THis way, I can block ANYBODY! No politicians, no marketers from the USA, nobody gets thru. And if they use a Long Distance call to call me, it costs them for the first minute, EVERY TIME THEY CALL.
