Was called during my worktime and evenings regularly by these people that don't even speak french (I am in Quebec). I don't want to give money to the SPCA, we had problems on our last adoptions, it costed us around $2000 on health care for a cat that should have been healthy.
Good idea, convince others to not support an agency that helps thousands of animals find permanent homes. It "costed" you around $2000. There are other ways to publicize and deal with you being out a couple of grand. I agree the poor cat should have been "ready to go" and bless you for adopting him/her; I just really don't agree with you telling EVERYONE not to support a centuries old organization that has and still does so much good (no I am not affiliated with the SPCA in any respect).
