Seems to be one of many numbers used for soliciting donations to Amnesty International. It is a fine outreach charity to which I've donated for many years. So why they heck are they calling me? I already donate monthly.
I finally picked up. This is Amnesty International just thanking you for your donation! No need to fear answering this call. Just talk to them and the calls will stop until next year.
I have been getting several calls daily from this number & I haven't donated to Amnesty for years. So I think it no longer belongs to them. I suspect Facebook had something to do with this - I added my cell to my account to make it easier to recover my account if I forget my password. The next day, three SMS from Facebook & something about my settings. I think I may have made it easier for spammers to access my info.
If it is someone calling from CRA Tax Crimes Investigation unit (no such thing) with an Indo/Pakistani accent is Fraud. 100 Percent Fraud. Do not fall for this. Revenue Canada never phones. They only use the mail. And when did anyone ever pay Revenue Canada by Western Union, Green Dot cards or any other scam card?
