Got this yesterday and ignored it. Then I found this thread and saw it could be the fraud dept. Phoned MBNA after not being able to check my account online. Turns out that was it. My card had been used to purchase gas in Europe. I've now programmed the phone number so that "MBNA" shows up as the caller.
Recently I received a call from them. It was MBNA credit card collection. I don’t know why they called me, because I am not their customer. If you know something post it here.
I recently applied for a loan with MBNA, and I just received a call from that number aswell. If you applied for something with them, then they could be calling you in regards to that, or if you did not apply for something, it could just be that they are looking to offer you a credit card. This is all of course if you are already not a customer.
As company operator I have been forced to answer calls from this number. As of as 10 times a day for one particular party. The callers are three different men from this company. A Mr. Featherstone, Chad and one additional un-named. They refuse to take voice mail, or be transferred to the party insisting that we are obligated to get them in contact. Nothing seems to make them stop. I have resorted to just hanging up. They now have blocked their own number but their voices and manner are recognizable.
I got a call from this number. Someone from MBNA. I have a credit card with them and they were calling about fraudulent charges. The caller IDed 2 charges coming from the States and Australia (I'm in Canada) that I did not put through.
