This # is NOT Revenue Canada - it is a scam to scare you. They are using other numbers as well (like 613-699-3335). This time when you call back the number, they ask you to leave a recording, or press 0 for an operator. I just left a message of hahahahahaha. Think everyone else needs to as well. Call from these people who barley speak English !! Abusive saying I have committed fraud and need a lawyer! I asked in regards to what? He then called me a son of a [***]!! Hung up! Left me upset and worried! Very threatening !!
This is a Revenue Canada SCAM. These people are NOT from the Canada Revenue Agency. They try to threaten you into paying them money to settle your account. CRA wants the monies they are owed and they will be as accommodating as possible to get it. If that fails, then they will come after you legally. Threatening phone calls are not legal. If you feel threatened then maybe you have done something wrong. Call these scammers back and tell them off instead.
