They call using a machine and asking for a ny name. If you respond with something unrealistic, you'll realize it's a recording or a robot that's programmed to responds "logically" to your answers but it fails when you throw something like "I'm not wearing any socks right now!" It's a scam for sure but they think they are getting clever and creative. I usually don't answer numbers I don't recognize but every now and then, I pick up if I'm expecting a call. My rule is, if you need me, you can wait and leave me a message. No message, not important at all. I usually block my number and call back to see who it is, 99% of the time, no one answers and I get a VM telling to press this and that to be added to "don't call list". I hang up and block the number. The "do not call list" is BS.
