Same thing happened to me yesterday! I called the number back and when a foreign man told me he was with the IRS and asked for my name and DOB I hung up! Scam!!!
Call them back and keep them talking - then they can't prey upon anyone else. I've called back 5 times today! Last time I played along for 5 minutes then told them I was with Homeland Security.
I've been calling back repeatedly over the last two hours while watching the Bruins game. Been driving the little Pakistani critters crazy. Played it straight with the last guy - and told him my name was Donald Trump. He gave me his whole story and switched me to his supervisor who wasn't pleased that he'd been scammed! Call them back! Have some fun!
I called them back and told them that they are two-bit loser crooks so quit calling my phone. The man with a foreign accent, kept talking like a jerk and stated that he was Officer Sky Carter ... I told him that he was a [***] and to quit calling my phone!
