Who are you talking to? No one at this website is calling you. The party calling you probably does not read this website and even if he or she did, there's no way they would know who you are. Your callers are scammers who don't care what you want or do not want. Invest in a call blocker and DO NOT pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.
Got a call from someone from this phone# claiming that they were my "Merchant Profile Manger from Discover" (They even had the address of my business and some other Info) and needed to "run a test" on our credit card machine. The Discover Credit Card Number they gave me was: [removed]. I DIDN'T DO IT, so I looked them up and landed here. Glad I followed my instincts. I hope this help someone.
We received a call from this number telling us they are from discovery and to enter a number they were going to give us with a $1.00 charge because the last time there was a debit charge on our account was in 2015 and the machine needed to get update with this information.
"Brian Pierce" from "Discover" left a message at our office. The caller ID said 614-335-9265 but "Brian" told us to call him back at 855-892-0473 ext. 4966 - said he was from "Discover" and we needed to update our profile, or something like that. I'm pretty sure he's not from the actual credit card company, and just from some shady credit card signage business with the word Discover in its name. You can find them easily though google - Discover Signage, Discover On Us, Discover Network, etc. Who knows which one he works for.
Someone with the last name Shephard from "Discover" has called several times at our office and left a voice mail each time saying that we need to call him back at 855-892-0473 ext. 4956 and that this is not a scam. He just needs to update our member profile by having us run a credit card they are going to provide us with. The number they are calling from is 614-335-9265 with an ID of Kings VW.
Whenever someone says "this is not a scam" you know it is a scam.
Sounds like the people making the calls have a stolen credit card number and they are testing it to see if it hasn't been canceled yet.
