Agreed!! It's ridiculous and completely out of control. I'm not even giving my real number out anymore because I believe every company sells their lists regardless of their privacy policies. I've had my number for 17 years, on Do-Not-Call List for same amount of time, have not had many issues until this year --- I have gotten up to 10 - 12 calls PER DAY for several days in a row from all over the country. Then, a flood of calls all from the same area as my area code. How is this not an invasion of my privacy?????
You should NEVER answer calls from numbers you do not know. The fact that your son said the word "yes" on the phone and hung up is a scammers way of getting a verbal approval and now your son has run the risk of being scammed.
