I do not give my cell phone number out to businesses so any calls I don't know, they're scammers. I don't have voice mail set up, so no one that calls my cell phone can leave a message.
I answered this call. It was the scam where the recording says "Hello? Oh, hi there. Sorry about that I was having a little trouble with my head set. Can you hear me?". They had the story on the news that if you answer "yes" to that questions the scammers can order services or something and you get billed for them because they take that "yes" response and copy so it seems as if you are saying "yes" to ordering what ever it is they bill you for. So, just hang up and don't say the word YES at anytime.
Can confirm all the above - scammity scam scammer. Calling my phone company right now to let them know about it, and also to make sure I don't get anything charged to my account.
They don't offer any way to opt out of the calls. Suggestion: Don't say 'yes' at any time, even if you're hoping to get to an opt-out point. Just block the number and walk away.
