Received a call from this number saying I had a debt from 2008 it is now 2017!! I monitor my CR monthly and have never seen this debt. Once I denied it she said she would put this down as an "identity theft" and gave me a bogus name and acct number for the original debtor. When I called them they stated that their acct numbers aren't even arranged like that and wouldn't come from their company. Furthermore I haven't lived in this town in over 14yrs!!
Woman called, attempted to verify my name and last 4 of my SSN. Having received calls claiming I still owed money on settled debts from the past, I refused to do so, and she got snotty and hung up.
Got a call and before answering was able to pull this thread up. I instantly denied the call, and then my truecaller app popped up, in bright red, that it's a scam. SO GLAD for 800 notes! The caller left no message, and I am so happy to be able to block them (the app lets me do it).
