answered this, silence then robot caller voice recorded kicks in this, is barry from veterans affairs, scam...I told them to go to hell, just got a new landline installed with a private# I pay a fee for , its been called now by six scammers at the most three times a day now, how the heck they got my private # is beyond me, will block them all, I have only called my cell ph and my mother and the company who installed the line and signed up for the do not call registry, and thats not the problem as the calls were coming in from scammers before I signed up for do not call. dont answer acall from this #

All they have to do is plumb numbers into a computer or robo dialing machine. However, google your name and number, any place such as spokeo that shows up, make them remove it.
Charities, along with some Survey's and Political calls, are exempt from the DNC, however, they can still get into trouble for not placing you on a internal DNC when asked, you can also check your states laws in regards. Some states do not allow them to call on their state DNC laws which can differ from the federal. At present, Oregon appears to be the only one that does not allow Charity calls.
