Called at 5:12 PM on Dec 3, 2026. The Caller ID says, "HEALTHYAMERICA" This call occurred while I was away from m phone. Not surprisingly, the caller did not extend the courtesy of leaving a voice explaining what s/he wanted. No doubt, the call was just a scam or phony donation solicitation where an infantesimal fraction of the funds collected actually reach the needy party.
Most likely a scam solicitation saying the money would go for the police. This number today is new, but they have used several similar numbers with me in the last few months. Among them:
614-407-5280, -5529, -5612, -5630, -5647, -5731, -9475, -9618, -9689, and -9766.
So if a call from 614-407-xxxx comes to you, block it or ignore it. All of these numbers have had Caller ID that says "Out of area."
Number is unknown to me, so I didn't answer. 614 area code is Columbus, OH. And since I'm a registered independent in the great swing state of Ohio... guessing it's another poll-a-marketer.
I just received a call from 614-407-5612. The caller id read Healthy America. The guy said he was calling for donations for the police and veterans and wanted to send me a pledge card. I didn't give him my address and said I don't have any money to donate. He said nothing and hung up on me. I think it is a scam too.
Same old same old...Ohio Trooper Coalition--take you money to pad their pockets.They ARE NOT actual Ohio State Highway Patrol. They normally have about 4-6 telephone line active. Do not answer or call back.
