Ohio highway patrol asking for donation, but think it was a scam as they didn't know what money would be used for.

Called 3 times today; first two within minutes of each other. Of course, I don't pick up calls if I don't recognize the number. TY Sara for the info!

New number, same old baloney. Fake fundraising plea for Ohio's Highway Patrol troopers. While this number is new, the scammers have used lots of numbers from the 614 Area Code (around Columbus, Ohio, the state capital). Among them:

Just got a call from this number, and call blocking software disconnected the call automatically.  Probably yet another scsm attempt.  Good riddance.  The caller ID displayed a string of gibberish, not a real name.
