Got a VM from Tiana, asking for 2016 Tax numbers. This phone number was on the caller ID (614-431-4636), but they left a different call back number with extensions (855-242-7346, ext 3655216). Both number have to do with Refi/mortgages. Tiana's VM said "the email attempt for the information didn't go through" and to email the information again. Which, ofcourse, we don't email tax information. Phishing/Scam, don't know which, cause we are not handing out that information willy nilly.
Just started going through the refinance process with Chase and within 30 minutes, received a call from this number. Did not answer, did not leave voicemail. Glad I looked up this number! Will be making sure that next time I talk to someone from Chase, I let them know this number is calling me as well!
Chase Bank calling about renewing home equity loan. Gotten letters from them as well, plus multiple calls. My loan doesn't expire until 2020, so if I want to do that (which I probably won't), I still have plenty of time. No need to make a decision 3 years ahead of time!
I just got off the phone with Chase, this number is a legitimate caller, they call you and basically try to get people to agree to speak about a refi and then they do transfer you to a legitimate refi agent at Chase. I asked to be taken off the call list and they did that for me.
