Some agree, some don't...But The company being reported here could quite possibly be 2 companies. One company being legitimate and the other company mimicking the legitimate one but is actually false. It happens. There are false companies/people out there who get your information (money you owe, bits and pieces of personal info) and use the legitimate companies name and reputation to collect on something which they have no business. From what I see here on this site and on other number reporting sites from this exact number is a lot of legitimate calls where people actually owe money and know it and a lot of people complaining about the caller not being consistent when they call with who they are to various individuals. Which make this scam extremely hard to detect and catches many people off guard.
I am getting calls from this number as well. never been to Ohio, don't know anyone in Ohio. I've got it auto-forwarding to voice mail, but they haven't left a message yet. If it's about taxes, it's trolling about someone else. If it's about something else, it's news to me. Haven't received any postal mail from RCS.
Yeah! That guy c alled me today......did u ever find out what he wanted? I just got his voicemail. he said something about ohio attorney generals office and that he didnt want money or whatnot but for i needed to fill out some paperwork for my fafsa/financcial aid......idk what the hell he's talking about! I am currently in school and have been for about almost 2 years now....so Idk y he would be bothering me. last time one of those guys bothered me, they said i was delinquent one of my loans but ALL OF MY OTHER STUDENT LOANS WERE IN GOOD STANDING b/c it was supposed to be deferred just like the rest & the OAG or whoever messed up.....they have been trying to fix that for about 3 years now! LOL how stupid are their employees if u can't see in front of ur face 5 student loans that are all DEFERRED and the one ur holding for some reason isn't...... OH.....that MUST be a MISTAKE!! HELLO!!!
