Me too! I just got a call. I had heard online about this particular scam where they try to get you to answer "yes" to any random question which they tape then attach to another contract which racks up huge fees.
I did not answer, did not know this number, I called the number back and a recording stated, "That they had called about extending my car warranty, I have asked to be removed in the past several time and I let the automated answering service know this and it hung up on me..."
Will B......you are right by thinking it was Publishers Clearing House who sold your number(or they got hacked). I entered on their website last fall and the calls came the very next day and come every day now. I suspect that Better Homes and Garden does the same thing when you enter their sweepstakes. I learned that a couple of years ago. Also be careful with other websites like for freebies, coupons and surveys..
Automated Bot - wants to try to sell you insurance for your Ferrari ... Problem?? I haven't had the 1977 Ferrari Tessarosa since it was sold after I rebuilt it in 1981!!!
