They've been calling like crazy for the last week or so. They are looking for someone who doesn't live here, but can't seem to talk to a live person to tell them that. I've seen three or four similar numbers pop up on the caller ID that I believe are from the same company. As far as I know, the person they are looking for didn't have our phone number last, so they are obviously looking for a very long overdue debt.
This is yet another number for Southwest Credit, a collection agency for AT&T that preys on very, very, very old debts owed to the company or ones that don't even exist. They call all hours of the day and night and are rude when you do answer the phone. They claim I owe like $100 to AT&T for a phone I had four years ago. I know I don't owe them anything and they won't send me anything in the mail, they just want my CC# which I am not giving over the phone!

They call and ask for Richard. There is no Richard here and I have received several calls. When I go to the human it is a black person or one mimicking that speech structure who gets quite nasty. I called the number back and was told it was Southwest Cerdit Services. Sounds like a scam.
I've been getting this number on my Caller ID for the last couple days. I finally answered today. It was Southwest Credit, and when I told them no one in my household has EVER had AT&T they asked... sounded more like a demand actually.... for my credit card info. They wouldn't even listen to me! The A-hole just talked over me! We have never had AT&T, and after this, I will never even consider getting AT&T. We went from Ameritech to Insight. Do these people really think that the nastier they get the more people are going to respond to them?! Thank God for Insight's call blocking, Southwest just earned their number the #6 spot, lol!
