Caller stated they were calling about my car warranty and he even knew what type car I had. I told him that he did not have a legitimate Ford warranty. He stated that Ford didn't have a warranty. I told him not to call back again so he hung up on me.
This company called me three times yesterday and once today on my direct work line claiming that my warranty had expired. i asked all three yesterday to take me off the list and the assured me they would. The third person that called, I asked how they got my work # of all #'s and she said that it is just sent to them in a database. Which leads me to believe that the car dealership whom I just purchased my car from in September leaked my information out there. Today, when they called me again at my work .. i started to explain that they called 3 times yesterday and now today when the lady hung up on me. I call back to get a recording stating that all of their employees are currently on the phone and if I leave my name and # I will receive back a call within 2 hours. Is there anything I can do about this? I'd love to set the car dealership straight on their practices of giving out information as well.
