Called about giving away free home alarm systems. They lady on the line was very upbeat and high energy (could have been a recording). She talked for about 45 seconds and at the end of the spill asked was I interested. I said "no, thank you" and hung up.
Auto attendant called saying I won a Disney vacation and cruise with Grand Celebration cruises, 2 nights stay in Ft. Lauderdale and a complimentary 7-day rental car and transferred me to a LIVE reservation person to get my dates and details.... listened to another 5 minute spill on my GRAND prize package, only to have her ask for my credit card # that is required to check-in at the hotel and 10% deposit required to "hold my slot... ONLY 10 LEFT!?!" I asked 10% of what, thought I won a complimentary trip? I was told I won 75% off the package, and only needed 10% down to book it... again never given an actual figure, but she was ready to take down my credit card number. DON'T FALL FOR THIS, IT'S A SCAM!!!
This guy claimed to be collecting donations for the police department, with three different levels of giving - bronze, silver, and gold. Transferred me to "billing" department that wanted my credit card number. Both men talked very fast, sure sign of a scam. Can't even remember what the name of the charity was.
Sunday May28 at 5:35pm my cell number was called but they asked for my spouse. They gave a spill about collecting money for the POLICE of America, especially those families that have loss POLICE. Then asked if a donation of $50, $35 or $20 could be given? They then said that all of the info would be mailed and to hold the line for the next intake agent to make sure that their info on us is correct. Finally they asked, PLEASE DON'T HANG UP, we hung up.
