I purchased tires from a local company and made an appointment with them over the internet. They called me to confirm I was the person who made that internet order. Less then 5 seconds later I got a call from the 616 number and no one said a thing. Kind of wonder if that number is a place that does checks on people.
I just had a conversation with these rotten pieces of sh*t. I called AT&T and they want 5 bucks a month after a 90 day free trial to block numbers. If you have an iPhone with ios7, they have a block feature built in. When looking at recent calls, touch the "i" for info. Scroll to the bottom and touch "block contact". Dunzo. Good luck.
The DNC does not work. What you need to do is get a lawyer. If you are on a DNC, you can sue the company. I have a friend who is a lawyer and he loves these suits. He always wins them and it pays big bucks.
Because that is exactly what solicitation or fraudulent callers want. By picking up the phone you are sending the people that use robo-dialers the message that this is actually a live number and then you will begin to get more and more scamming solicitors calling you at all times of the day. Or worse than that you will get people that will say you owe money and will threaten you if you don't send money to "settle the debt" that never existed in the first place. That's why.
