Who called from 6162289104

I didn't answer the call from this number since I didn't recognize it. I did call it back. It's the American veteran support foundation. wanting money. I wouldn't mind donating to the veterans but the last time I donated to the veterans, I found out that for every dollar donated, the veterans only get $0.17 with the organization getting $0.83 Shouldn't it be the other way around? In broader terms that's $830,000.00 to the organization and $170,000.00 to the veterans for every million donated. Someone is getting paid very well and it isn't the veterans. I just can't do that.

Caller id said unavailable. Even if it is a charitable organization, they should leave a msg. I will decide if I want to contribute. Please do not repeatedly call this number. I do not answer unrecognized numbers.

It is highly doubtful that your callers are reading here also. We can't stop anyone from calling you either or remove from a list.

Charities, along with some Survey's and Political calls, are exempt from the DNC, however, they can still get into trouble for not placing you on a internal DNC when asked, you can also check your states laws in regards.  Some states have different laws in regards to the calls,  which can differ from the federal but as far as I know, Oregon is the only one that does not allow Charity calls.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or less. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
