Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Received a call from 616-439-9023 on my cell phone on 3-25-15 at 1:21 PM. I did not answer. Whoever it was left a very long, completely blank voice mail - no sounds heard at all. Very annoying and a complete waste of time. I NEVER give out my cell number except to a very limited few. I'm getting these calls that begin a 6 at least once a week.
I really love this site compared to many other's because you just put your questionable number in and 99% of the time it's here! Thank you everyone who takes the time to write a report. I am very appreciative to everyone because it's aggravating enough getting the calls abd even worse when company's want to try and get you to buy info on a spammer!
I stupidly picked up on this call without checking the id, got a robo-voice asking about being on a prescription drug plan. I hung up immediately. Really irritated because this is my cell and I do not give the number out. This robo-dialler must be set up to do all possible numbers. Should not be legal to do this.
Didn't pick up on this call - number not familiar and they left no message. Sure wish there was a way to send a virus right back at them that would demolish their entire communication system. These folks are a waste of oxygen!
