Followed me all the way from Mid-State (Michigan) to work in the GR Metro. Exact words: "Mr. [X] you are a very hard man to reach." Calls same day as served.
This is not the anger or shock of being served separation/divorce papers talking: She is a b____h, straight and fast. I know she is lying about following me. She waited at my work to find me. I know this because her cell phone as listed on this article called my work number twice at 8:45am and 8:49am to see if I was here to serve at work.
Here are some issues with that:
1) Although service to work is legal in Michigan, 'she' filed in California where it must be person to person.
2) My soon to be ex-spouse (amicable) asked I not be served at work.
3) She lied to me about following me: Why would a 616 area code (W Mich) drive to 517 (Mid Mich) where I live to follow me here? She didn't.
Based on the above, if you are an attorney working with this woman, I would cut your losses and run. I will be notifying my spouse and her attorney that she acted against their mutual wishes, and she won't be serving for California or on whatever network she has nationally again TRUST ME. Alternatively, to be fair, if you are a debt collection, this is the kind of scum bulldog that matches your kind of personal warfare so feel free to hire the bottom of the barrel, their your kind of ___munch.
Regarding that taped NOTICE OF PENDING ACTION / SERVICE OF PROCESS with a phone number of 616-550-3941. Report that notice to the Michigan Attorney General IMMEDIATELY because Asset Acceptance is attempting to sue you but they don't want to pay a real process server to come after you yet. This means that they already filed for a summons with your name; however, they have not yet served you. Also, make a copy of that notice and send it to the Michigan Attorney General's office and hold on to the original for a couple years.
