Just called. I didn't answer and no message. 616 is a Grand Rapids, MI, area code. There's a telemarket boiler room located right outside the city. Has several 616 numbers. This one came up "Contact Services." Their hustlers seem to sell magazines, security systems - assorted scams. Some use the 616 number to "spoof" for other numbers around the U. S.
They called my mother in law and told her if she was making funeral arragenments for my wife. Thank God my wife is safe and well. The nerves of these people.
Number called and left a voice mail. Said that I had recently purchased a jar of contaminated Peanut Butter (salmonella) and if we're experiencing symptoms go to doctor. They also wanted me to call a number back (877-455-0000) to call for a free coupon. I hadn't purchased peanut butter recently. Weird.
just got a call from them on my cell phone. Said they were calling from "Harry & Dave's" about a jar of peanut butter that I purchased. They hung up when I told them I hadn't.
