I have received a couple of calls from this number saying that I or someone I know entered my name in draw at either Macy's, Bloomingdale's, Walmart or Target to win a trip to Cancun. Although I did visit a Walmart store on a recent trip to the U.S.A., I did not enter any draws nor would I waste my time talking to someone saying I did when I didn't.

I have received many calls from these guys over the last few weeks, it is the same thing as Irmgard is reporting. I rarely visit the US and I don't imagine any of my friends or relatives would do such a thing as enter my name in a holiday draw scam.
I thought these type of calls (recorded service announcements) were banned? They are in Ontario, but this call originates from Michigan so I can't get Bell Canada to do much about it.
Anyway, if you dial the number directly you reach a 'telephone number removal system'. I entered my phone number and just hope that is the last I hear from them. Of course, I may have just made it much worse ...
Very Funny!
I had this come up on my call display. When I checked my voice mail, it turns out there was a message:
It sounds like some 'new guy' who didn't quite know how to hang up the autodialer and has to ask for help.
New Guy: It's a. . . I'm getting a message machine out of that.
Bossman: Hang up if it's a message machine [other voices]
New Guy: Uh. . .which one is that [fumbling on around]
Bossman: [comes over to phone] Hand up!
"Click" hangs up.
What a joke; there was nothing to indicate that the people at the other end were even remotely proffesional, or even legit.
- could not get a valid trace on the phone number either.
