I also received a call at 1010 am Jan. 12, 2012 with a free pass to a cruise once survey completed, a representative came on to confrim my information such as address, name and phone number and then a voice message came on to go onto surveycruise.com to claim the reward which when I entered the info they requrested, stated unable to connect inspite of correct info typed in.
A foghorn type sound first, then an automated message about winning a cruise. I tried to hang up and pick up right after, but could not until the entire message was done. Did *69 to get the phone number. How can we report their solisitations? This was a business line they called also.
Automated call to my business line saying that I'd "won a cruise" to Nassau Bahamas. I was asked 8 questions ranging from "was I a smoker" my age range, "was I a diabetic," did I have a "cable modem, dial up or DSL" etc. I was to answer the questions by pushing a number on the key pad. At the end of the "survey" it said to hold on and I would be transfered to an agent and notifying me that no one would ask for my credit card number. It then said I was next in line. It did this for about 30 seconds, after which I was disconnected.
automated call to my business line. just as Mike Plante described. But I was connected to a rep who asked for my name, call back #, zip code and major c/c. I didn't enclose a c/c number but a manager is expected to call me with in 72 hours. We will see... (United Public Opinion Group has a website)
