Like others, I got a long-winded robocall about a get-rich-quick scheme, claiming I had asked for information. The call was to a number which has not been given out to anybody, for any purpose, for years. It's a legacy landline we keep so family and old friends who have been out of touch can get in touch, or for people who have used it for decades to keep using. It was probably not given to any business (Nor were any called from it.) for any reason, for more than 20 years. For at least that long, we've had a "spam suck" landline we give out to businesses, so they can legitimately call if they need to, but if it ever gets overwhelmed by junk, we can just pull the plug and get another number.
So, it's an illegal robocall which starts out lying.
